These were all shot on the little Oly, which was then put aside and forgotten for a bit … well, a biggish bit … until I looked in the card and found a few that looked pretty good.
So, I’m putting them up here.
The first is a shot of ol’ Fuzzybritches, relaxing on the couch. I thought the colours worked nicely together:
And this is a series I took from the carpark of the hospital, while I was waiting for a friend to pick up a ‘scrip from the pharmacy … I was interested in the cirrus clouds, which were a little unusual:
That round thing is a sort of porte-cochère for the hospital main entrance.
Here it is, closer:
And this last pair is a left-over from the icicle series, where I used the 504 mm zoom to get a closeup:
And that’s the lot … at least they’re not too far out of date! LOL
Cheers, folks! Take care …

The unusual light was from the time of the morning … 9:00, and the light was still quite red. Also, the angle of the shot caused some of it.
Dziękuję.

He’s cute, all right … he’s also crazy as a jaybird. That long hair is a problem, too.

derwandersmann
March 31, 2014 at 3:04 pm
He’s called damn near anything we can get our mouths to say, from “Mr. Cat”, “Cutie” and “Fuzzybritches” to “Dingbat”, “CAT!!!”, or “AAAAARGH!”

We are pretty much in April and still had one inch of snow yesterday. 😯 Old man winter doesn’t want to go just yet. 😉

Yep. We’re expecting a touch of snow, soon.

Oddly, they weren’t. The clouds seemed to hit a layer or current of differently-moving air, and started to roll at the leading edge.

As allways a very nice post. The pictures of the clous are very nice and also telling a change is on its way, I like them very much
Your cat is very nice. And those icicles so very nice

Did someone say ‘chemtrails’? Excuse me while I get out my tin foil hat! And more duct tape for the windows.
Seriously though, love Fuzzybritches, who looks mighty comfortable on the patchwork.
That thing in front of the hospital looks like a parked space ship.
I like staring into the icicles, same with those crystals that develop on glass doors during the sub zero temps here in the winter.
The snow was almost melted here then we got a surprise spring blizzard yesterday. Must be an April Fool’s joke. Everything’s white again but, at least, the temp isn’t below zero. Let’s hope the wind dies down a bit as I have to deliver a painting to the Hjemkomst Center for the FMVA ‘Big Show’ exhibit which opens later in the month. Being that its on canvas and 3 ft by 3 ft, that wind might whip it right out of my hands. I’ll have to weight it down or something.

Good luck on the show … and on transporting the painting. This time of year in the Great Plains is always windy. A great deal of unbearably cold air must be replaced by a great deal of unbearably hot air; hence the wind. If you hold the painting by the hanging wire, and keep it at a right angle to the wind, it will flap around, but won’t start twisting around and break.

The cat needs combing. :p
Nice blue sky shots. Glad your winter’s finally over. Ours not here yet but just around the corner.
The little Oly did a good job with the icicles in your steady hands. (Was it actually 504mm long or equivalent? I did a little research on those megazoom units before decided to buy my current Oly, but can’t remember.)

Combing is out of the question, He turns into a tornado of claws and teeth. He has to be wrapped carefully in a blanket, and the lumps have to be cut out.
Last time I get a long-haired cat!

Kittens are generally fluffy when they are little, aren’t they? Would you know if a little moggie kitten turns out to be long-haired or not?

Actually, he was showing signs of being long-haired when he came. But your point is well-taken. I’ve always had a reluctance to accept kittens … I prefer mature cats.

A nice eclectic series. I kind of like the austere sky shots and the way you take us into the building. Icicles are very cool.
