Not much to say, here … I got caught by the vibrancy of the green leaves.
The lower angle of the sun as the Summer wears on seems to please this plant … I got this plant some 30 years ago. It was big then, and it’s big now. I have to keep taking chunks off of it, because it keeps growing new bits, and I’ve got to repot it soon … I can’t see that there’s any room for dirt left in the pot.
I’ve never found out what it is … a lady from Puerto Rico told me she had one outdoors there, and it was really big and bloomed a lot. That floored me; I had had this one for maybe 25 years and it had never offered to bloom, but it has bloomed since coming here; I reckon it likes this window. It’s a bloom kinda like a calla lily or a peace lily, not real big. The leaves can grow to 6″ long, but usually don’t.
If anyone knows what it is, please tell me.
Thanks …
Cheers, all!

Just a couple, this time … The Big Plant in my Window Greets the Morning Sun
About a Month’s Worth of Cat Shots …
I suppose I’ll dedicate this post to Rania, because her mum won’t let her have a cat.
The month has been a real bummer, as far as ordinary outdoor activities go … the wife has not been well at all, and when she’s been OK, the weather has been beastly … very hot and humid (I know, most folk don’t mind it, and, in fact, they like it, but I’m not one of them.), or else it’s dark and dreary … real rain seems to come only at night when it’s impossible to make any decent pictures. At least we’re not being plagued by the dense fogs we were getting from the low Lake temperature.
And, just to add to the fun, the brakes went out in the car and all the lines needed to be replaced. I paid my mechanic friend to do it, because I’ve done it once, and once is enough. Hoo, boy! A job to drive you nuts! Besides, with no garage, my big floor jack and jackstands at my son-in-law’s, and my trusty tubing bender lost somewhere, I didn’t choose to lie down under the car with the rain.
So, left to my own devices (damned few devices, especially since we moved here and I lost my shop and tools), after sitting in front of this machine until my butt was tired of this chair, I’d pick up the little Oly and blast a few flashes at the cat. He was bored this month, too, so there aren’t as many as there might be. But they’re pretty good. I’ve got a couple of profiles that are nice of him, but there’s a cluttery background that’s going to take a lot of work. I’ll do that later.
These are just random shots from various days of the month … in chronological order, but that’s not important.
The fourth one down makes him look kinda strange, but it’s because you can’t see the farther eye very well.
That’s about it, folks … hope you like ’em.
Cheers …
