Well …

26 Aug

It seems that I've had no further visitors; certainly no one has posted a comment. I have no idea why this is; perhaps it is normal, whatever "normal" is.

It doesn't matter; I haven't got much to say. It was a shock to see that the software loaded my pictures in parallel, as it were, to the text … I rather expected to find them at the bottom, as one does in emails (usually). And the really curious bit of the link showing the code for the images before the text … I wonder if it's possible to change that?

A few more pics:

Damn! I thought I could get the two last pics to be beside each other.

I reckon I can't.

Hey, don't feel bad. I don't have many visitors either. If you think of the huge amount of blogs, photo albums and pages on My Opera alone, it's suprising we have any visitors at all… 😀

I think the only way you can make the bottom two images line up the way you want is to use an HTML table. For instance the top image you have aligned to the right, which makes the text wrap to the left. The other images, you would put below your text. It's not too hard, but you can put the other two images in an html table (below all text) and they will line up side by side.I created a text file of the HTML table code that you can copy and paste into your post. You might have to add all your images to the post first, then paste the table in, then cut your image code/url and paste it into the table replacing the image code that is in them now.I'm probably making this sound harder than it is… 🙂

Ok, ignore my first comment about the HTML tables. You can delete it if you want… It's a little more complicated than I thought. 😦 If you are interested in a little tutorial click here.

Micah, I have tried to do the same thing. I've also tried to put text next to a photo. I end up just lining everything up, one after the other. About the only thing I CAN do is change font color or size and center the text in a poem. I looked quickly at your html stuff and I think I have a mental block……it looks Greek to me. But I may practice tomorrow on a new post and see what I can do.

It's really not too hard, just try a little here and there. Take your time, and at first, focus on the approach that seems easiest to you… :)By approach I mean: using image tags, tables or div tags.
