Well, you folks may remember me asking about the Clancy Brothers and Tommy Makem's recording of The Dutchman. I said that I had an .mp3, but couldn't post it.
Well, dear Josie Mae has posted it, with the lyrics, for you all, here:

Give it some time to load … in fact, give Opera a bit of time to find it …
Really very nice of her, and now you can all hear it. It seems to be on continuous repeat, but I don't know that for sure; I didn't listen all that long.
Have some tissues handy!
And here's a flower for Josie:
Cheers, all!

Thank you to Josie Mae too.I love the accents in the singing. I'll have to check YouTube for other songs by them.

It is, isn't it? It makes me teary, though … possibly because of advancing age, which has a funny way of affecting one's dreams.'Tis Josie Mae who should be thanked, though … she put it up.It's a mark of the talent of the Clancys and Tommy Makem, how they could by turns be gentle and sweet, as in this song, or heroic, as in Roddy McCorley. I've always admired them for that … they came across as ordinary lads, a bit rough, but it's obvious that they put a lot of work and thought into their songs.

You might do better by going to Amazon.com and looking them up in .mp3 Downloads. Most of the downloads are 99¢/song, but you can download entire albums if you wish. If you find you really want more, you can look them up under Music, and get CDs for a reasonable price.Even an old vinyl, if that sort of thing turns you on … though most of their vinyls have probably been played to death.
