… blame it on me being kinda cooped up. I don’t really get out much; this damned bag attached to my belly makes it awkward and inconvenient, to say nothing of a little scary … the possibility of a rupture is always uppermost in my mind. I suppose I’ll get used to it, in time.
Anyway, I’ve been shooting a few shots here in the apartment, and these are the best of the lot.
The chiaroscuro of the lighting effects caught my attention one afternoon, and this is the result … upon examination, I thought “Perhaps a bit darker …”. This is the result:
I rather liked it.
Another afternoon, and I noticed that someone across the court had put out some small plants on her window ledge, in brightly-coloured pots … here they are:
A little closer …
… and closer yet:
That’s about it, folks … thanks for your patience. Cheers, all!

I do like the darker shot same as you. I need to put out a few pretty pots like that. Would dress up the trailer quite a bit on the outside. But I’ll wait till it cools off a bit first. Still too hot….in the 100s.

I,m so happy to confirm you’re alive!
In Tokyo, this Summer is very hot. I had a hottest day, 48.6 degree C ( 119.48 degree F ) in the construction site. Crazy! I was almost dead! haha
Please show me your next photos soon!

Sam! So glad to hear from you! I’ve been checking your blogsite every couple of months or so, but seeing no activity. I was beginning to worry. Now I know it was probably the heat, and in your island nation, the humidity must have been terrible. I’m glad to hear you’re all right. Take care …

I like the lighting adjustment on the top photo, too; makes it atmospheric, relaxing and inviting- a place one would like to be… Nice and tidy bit of cheer on the ledge. As we live we have thorns and crosses we must bear. We adopt (because it is a choice) an attitude to carry. It seems you have chosen a chipper and still life-endeavoring one. That is good an a good example. More power to you. And thanks, dW 🙂

Thank you, Jill. A touch obscure, but I think I’ve got the meaning.

Hi dW.
Always very much enjoy your posts and your images are nice this time. I like the one of your desk with sweatshirt hanging on the chair in the sunlight. Very dramatic and makes me wonder what is written there. Check out my blog (merleplaggeart.com/dir)–I have lots of photos, including my daily pics, and blog posts about my art. I’ve sort of abandoned Ipernity–such instability and uncertainty of the future of it. And you keep getting around a much as possible. Best wishes.
