Sort of a follow-up …

30 Nov

After the pictures of the snow, and the gloomy skies that had held on for several days, we got a day of blue skies and sun. The sun was coming in my window, illuminating the philodendron cuttings that I have in a ketchup bottle. I found the image irresistible, so I shot a few frames. Here they are …

There they are, folks … nothing much, but it’s something. Enjoy!

Cheers! all.

Well, I love it. That’s very homely and pleasing to me.

You spoil us with the numerous photos that you usually share. But I like these. They could be on a greetings card.

Light and shadow is what it’s all about. Very nice capture of it.

This is philodendron? My grandma had in a vase back in Serbia but I never knew the name of it even though I have heard it before. Thanks 🙂

I first found out the reason for the name when I was in Florida, where they grow wild … they climb trees, and become really huge, with big, umbrella-like leaves that tend to split when they get really big. “Philo” means “love” and “Dendron” means “tree” in Greek.
