I suppose I’ll dedicate this post to Rania, because her mum won’t let her have a cat.
The month has been a real bummer, as far as ordinary outdoor activities go … the wife has not been well at all, and when she’s been OK, the weather has been beastly … very hot and humid (I know, most folk don’t mind it, and, in fact, they like it, but I’m not one of them.), or else it’s dark and dreary … real rain seems to come only at night when it’s impossible to make any decent pictures. At least we’re not being plagued by the dense fogs we were getting from the low Lake temperature.
And, just to add to the fun, the brakes went out in the car and all the lines needed to be replaced. I paid my mechanic friend to do it, because I’ve done it once, and once is enough. Hoo, boy! A job to drive you nuts! Besides, with no garage, my big floor jack and jackstands at my son-in-law’s, and my trusty tubing bender lost somewhere, I didn’t choose to lie down under the car with the rain.
So, left to my own devices (damned few devices, especially since we moved here and I lost my shop and tools), after sitting in front of this machine until my butt was tired of this chair, I’d pick up the little Oly and blast a few flashes at the cat. He was bored this month, too, so there aren’t as many as there might be. But they’re pretty good. I’ve got a couple of profiles that are nice of him, but there’s a cluttery background that’s going to take a lot of work. I’ll do that later.
These are just random shots from various days of the month … in chronological order, but that’s not important.
The fourth one down makes him look kinda strange, but it’s because you can’t see the farther eye very well.
That’s about it, folks … hope you like ’em.
Cheers …

There is something with a view of cat sleeping making me want to curl near it an fall asleep myself 😀 It might be a cat nature part in me 😛
Sorry to hear about your troubles with car. Until I came to Canada I didn’t realize how important car is in a life of average North American. Sometimes, distances are just too long with nothing in between. It is quite different for most of the Europe.

As one Western Senator said, when they were debating lowering the speed limit to 55 mph, “In my State, everyone knows that if you go 55, you never get there.”

It surely much depends on where you live. Surely I don’t miss a car at all because I live in a “city center”. Keeping it would just come all too expensive. But in the countryside, or even in suburb, it would be almost impossible to get along without a car. Public transportation has become way too unreliable and expensive these days.

Nice shots, all. The last one the eye looks too dark and dead as there’s no catch light in it. Yes, most places here one needs a car to get along, sometime even in big cities.

I miss my kitties…. well my dog too in fact but the cat doesn’t have fleas most of the time.

Flea collars, man! They work pretty well, but you gotta be careful to get the strength of the thing to match the biomass of the animal.
You can also try adding a bit of garlic to their diets … they won’t like it so you might not be able to do that, but it’s worth a try. They may have some systemic remedies by now.

I’m afraid all I can offer here is a good sneeze; but, kitty is cute. I can relate to not enjoying hot and humid (generally) and the car woes… happy I found someone to quickly do an oil change- on our street, even. The guy even offered to purchase, I told him it probably will never be for sale; so eager was he about the vehicle, he was decidedly happy to simply change the oil! We were glad for the convenience.
I’m sorry to hear your wife isn’t well. It’s encouraging to hear that some days she fares better. I hope she has more of those good days.

You and me, both, kid!
My girlfriend in Rio says I’m sacrificing, and I reckon she’s right. She doesn’t go for my type of metaphysics, but she has an intuitive grasp of things.
