A view across our courtyard … very close to sunset:
The redness of the raking sunlight is very apparent.
And a closer view, focusing in on an interesting bit of Nature’s snow sculpture:
Nothing of any great importance; just fun and interesting.
I apologise for any failures in quality; I was shooting through rather dirty glass (4 panes!), but I was prohibited from opening the window by popular opinion … it was -1°F out there.
Cheers, all!

Wonderful pictures. No need to apologise for the last one.

Ah … but I’m compulsive about certain things, you see.

Lovely, rosy texture. Some of your photographic fussiness has been contagious, and my photography is better for it. 🙂

That’s a comfort, I reckon … misery loves company, and maybe I can make you as unhappy with your results as I am with mine.

No matter where you are in the world, somebody else wants your weather! Just looking at those photos cools me down! 🙂

LOL … I don’t know where you live, but I suspect that you’ve uttered a previously undiscovered truism. I know that I hate summer, at least around here. I should live on the Tibetan Plateau.

Wow, derwandersmann – as I can see , at you it is a lot of snow. Real winter. In Poland we have a lot of snow only for 3 days and it started to rain and all snow melted, it is only raining and cloudy with the temperatures 2C and and at nights -2C.

Glad to see you here, Nora … Yes, it’s getting pretty brutal here, now. Wind and cold … the felt temperature was -15°F today, and I was out in it most of the day. I figured I’d better get my outside work done before it gets really cold, in a couple of days.

I’m glad TOO we could meet here. I know what hard winter means , but this year we don’t have hard winter now but rainy winter and temepratures from 35°F to 40°F but in the past we had so hard winters too even last year.It was really hard and a lot of problems on the roads, breaking electrical lines of the heavy snow and I wouldn’t like it would be again the same.I hate so hard winters and cold.My flat is cold then too and I’mcold then too.It isn’t good then.So I understand what hard it is at You.I wish you warmer days soon. 🙂

Yes … just across the Baltic, Eva is complaining about the lack of snow … very unusual for Sweden.

Yes,that’s right but I don’t complain that it isn’t any snow because I don’t like winters with a lot snow and freezing days. Of course in USA it is different to much snow especially in the North of USA

It looks like you have about as much, or as little, as Fargo has dW. Not a lot here but it sure has been a deep freeze. This is my fourth winter now and I consider it the coldest. Whew! I’d swear it’s been minus 10 and lower for a month except for two freaky days, one of 39F and the other of 29F.
Oh, and your picture taking through windows looks fine to me.

No doubt it’s the coldest, Pam … you’re setting records up there, too. What a pity you sold your house!
