which seems pretty damned irrelevant. If you scroll down past the big orange pic, you come to a line that says “You seem to be lost”. If you scroll up and click “daily or thereabouts” (the header) you wind up on your page.
Go figure.

One of my old friends once got the idea to stick a broomstick through the leg of a pair of trousers and attach an old boot on the end. He put it in the trunk of his truck, and left it sticking out. He didn’t drive anywhere with it. He just left it parked by the curb opposite his favourite cafe from where he could sit, enjoying his tea, watching people walk by his parked car. It was most amusing, he claims.

A friend of mine, on his graduation night in a Texas town, lay in the trunk of a car with his bare arm sticking out from the almost-closed lid, dribbled with catsup, while his friends drove around town.

The four-column box below shows the characters you have to type to get the smilies, each one begins and ends with a : … a suggestion: put a space before the first : … that’s something that many MyOpera people didn’t seem to realise.
