It took me a bit to find them, because I hadn't seen them in a very long time. They were taken as I drove South over a bridge over the Milwaukee River, and I had noticed the sky over the lake as I drove up the approaches. The bridge is part of the I-794 expressway, so slowing down was out of the question. Indeed, on Wisconsin roads, it is nearly a criminal offense to restrain oneself to the speed limit, consequently I was clipping along at around 60-65 mph. I was using a little Kodak EasyShare, resolution 4 MPixels, with one of those wrist straps, which I secured around my left wrist, holding the camera out the window, and squeezed off a couple of shots. They actually look pretty good. That little cam, unfortunately, had a strong tendency to make one end of the frame rather magenta, and the other end rather green. I was unable to remove all the magenta and green, but here they are:
They can be seen larger here:

Cheers!
A later note: The EXIF next to the pictures is in error (I haven't the faintest idea why). The correct date and time should be:

In Dublin one taxi driver told me he does this constantly 😀 Not sure if he meant he also takes photographs while driving :left: But the point is that in his profession he sees a lot of beautiful morning and evening skies 🙂

I really wish I could take shots like you do. I've looked through all of your albums and blog posts since I've been absent from MyOpera. You never disappoint with the quality of your work.
