Blazing November …

01 Nov

The title says it all, folks … I've just put up a new album with the same title as this post. It's a day's photos of Autumn colours, taken Quick! before they disappear! … on a really good day. I had to dodge and wait, and shoot like crazy, when the sun came out from the clouds.
It's here:
Have a look …

I wish our November was "blazing" – dark and rainy would be more apt! But good to see the colours in your local trees.

We can't be the vanguards of Europe and the host to beauty pageants. We do have fleeting ephemera like this when our mature models show us their finest, in seasons of mellow fruitfulness.Amid the litter and the squallorIn the hollows and then it's over. Ah; but to be in England soonAgain when April's hereAnd once again the virginsAre modelling their hair. What price vandersman's paintings then? When spring is crystal clear.
