I found some pics of some really groovy Polish Easter eggs here: http://my.opera.com/Ela65/blog/. The page belongs to someone named Ela65. I found her footprints on this page and backtracked. Have a look.
Later: Dig this shot, folks … this lady is GOOD!

Hello, Nathalya Risis … It's good to see you again. And, to both … I just couldn't keep those eggs to myself … I believe they are produced by a sort of sgraffito technique, much like scratchboard. They are certainly dramatic.

Some of the eggs had hand-knit sweaters so-to-speak. I'd never seen knitting for eggs before.

Oh Wow! A painstaking technique for sure. I did a scratchboard only once. That was enough. These eggs are beautiful. I also like the ones that look like they have a little crocheted net around them.

I think those eggs are quite wonderful. It is nice to see traditional Easter art being used.Today is Good Friday, do you all have a tradition of eating Hot Cross buns today and over Easter ?:)

The hot cross buns are a distant memory for me, I'm afraid, but some regions on this continent must retain the custom.

Look at those Easter eggs: http://my.opera.com/adrianmircea/blog/2010/04/03/i-wish-you-a-happy-easter The technique is an ancient one. They do it with many instruments. We are kind of bored here by it. It happens every year!
