For all you Europeans dealing with unusual snow …

26 Jan

I found this remarkable record of a totally new (to me) piece of what has been called Yankee inventiveness. The film is silent; it was made, as far as I know, in 1929, and that may be ol' Henry himself, driving that thing. It's remarkably clever and it's too bad it never caught on. Of course, shortly after, they decided to do away with snow.

Until this year … LOL.
P.S. I want one!

That was great! I'm very surprised it never caught on. I wonder why. It made perfect sense. Hmmmmm…..maybe it was too expensive at the time.

I just stumbled across another vehicle that has had a custom job to adapt it to the snow.I found it on this page, which has a number of amazing photos of urban areas under snow.
