And here are some more …

15 May

… not so brightly coloured, these … I think they'll be a touch less brilliant. I'm still in "edges" mode, I think … these are pretty much "edges" of day or of night, though we'll probably find a few that are in more "central" positions.

I think that might be one of the silliest-sounding paragraphs I've ever typed …

On with the show!

An autumn dawn …

These are only two days later than the last entry, but see how the colours have changed; more toward yellow, with lots less red.

A "band" of gulls (sorry about that!) … breakfast time for the Beach Club …

And the usual crowd was there …

Cirrus clouds from the north … the promise of winter to come:

The conversation group: "And what did you say to the Duke?"

"I'm certainly glad THEY left! My dear, do you know that they …?"

"Oh, drat! They're back! Their manners with the algae are SO disgusting!"

Leaving the gulls to their gossip, we find some nice concentric … well, maybe that's the wrong word … um … parallel waves for Pam. The rest of you can look at them, too … if it's alright with Pam.

All life needs is a chance …

No special reason for this next; I just liked it:

And this one, too …

I think that'll do it for a while … I'll dig around for some more; I hope you enjoyed these. I certainly enjoyed making them. I think that my pleasure in making the shot and working it up somehow transmits itself to the viewer, at least I hope it does.

Cheers, all …

Hmmm … that's two for the first pic … I like it, too, and I know why, in an æsthetic, formal sense, but it also "says" something to me, and I don't know what it is. It looks like a painting or drawing by some illustrator, I think … English, probably, but I can't think who. Arthur Rackham, maybe, but Rackham never did this sort of thing, to my knowledge … if any of you can see it, for heaven's sake, tell me … now it's going to drive me nuts until I find out.

Impressive series… Esp like the one with the rocks in the foreground

Um … There are three that fit that description.

😆 Indeed! :doh:I mean the one with concentric or parallel waves, which goes after the gulls gossiping.

(Chuckle!) OK, Anna … I'm fond of that one, too.And Risis, dear … I really don't think the superlative is warranted … I might be very good, even great, and I hope I am, but the idea of "best ever" is to say that others are not and were not. Allan, for instance, up there in the site called "ricewood", is plenty good, and makes money off his work (which I have never managed to do) … or go see Anna's delightful pictures of her daughters, and some of the Siberian countryside. There's a chap on this community named Andy who makes some of the best bird pictures I've ever seen, and there's Solid Copper, out on the West Coast of Canada, who does some really nice pictures … to say nothing of all the really good pictures that have, literally, humbled me since I joined up here. And believe me, for someone as arrogant as I am, it takes something really good to make me humble. But thank you, Risis, for your praise … and the same to all of you who have commented.

I enjoy this bunch. Very fresh. I would cut off some blue on top in the first one.
