Here’s a fair pic of her …

31 Oct

This was shot in 2005, well before she got sick. I have others, but I've got to either scan 'em in, or get my DVD reader to read my DVD of photos that it insists is blank. Frustrating damned thing, but there it is.

And a cropping of it …

Beautiful. Her lovely blue eyes, her fair skin and fine, reddish blond hair look very Scandanavian. Forgive me if I'm wrong. I'm not really very good at guessing where people come from. It must be very hard to look at her photos. I hope you don't mind us asking to see her. Thank you very much for sharing.I hope you are doing ok.

I'm doing as OK as can be expected, I reckon …The bloodlines tend toward the Celtic, but you're not the only one to suspect Scandinavian … her grandmother, while in college, frequently used the name Hilda as a sort of disguise. And really, I find looking at her photos quite pleasurable; I just don't want to think very hard while I do it.

"And really, I find looking at her photos quite pleasurable; I just don't want to think very hard while I do it."Good, then I'm glad you posted it. I have an album on Opera devoted to my mom and even though she has been gone almost ten years, I still like to look at her photos. Now Celtic was going to be my second guess. Both are fair skinned, light hair. My bloodlines are English, Dutch, French, German, Irish and American Indian. I remember my maternal great-grandmother sending me a letter when I was young about the different names in our family. I don't think I was much interested when I was 10 so the letter is long gone but I remember memorizing the nationalities and trying to say it real fast.

Boy, that cropping is really granular, isn't it? Looks over-sharpened … this new screen shows it to me for the first time.

That happens and I don't know why and I wouldn't know how to fix it. With my photos, I've tried messing with resizing, then messing with Paint Shop Pro X and I always goof things up. Better for me to just leave the original alone.Actually, I didn't notice it on her photo till you mentioned it. It's nice the way it is.

She was very beautiful! I love her eyes and hair!!! She gives off an aura as though she was made of something real special; remarkable.

I haven't been to your site for a little while, I'm glad you posted a pic of her; nice pic too!

I agree. My dad passed away a few weeks ago, and looking at pictures of him actually helps me as long as I don't start thinking too much…

I never saw your elder posts I went back in your blog and found this post. I know from your new posts what happen even I never asked and I think maybe my post "children" touched you somehow, I didn't mean to hurt, so if you want me to remove it, I will. And again I am sorry not to understand at first your answer.. You didn't say a word from then and I feel too bad to just leave it. I don't like if people are hurt because of me in any way.Your daughter was a nice lady with gentle, friendly face..
